Kyrinna Strauss lives alone in a creepy old mansion near the Guillotine Wood, where she sets traps to catch subjects for her macabre experiments. Her pursuit of immortality is interrupted by the authorities, but Kyrinna is able to escape through a secret passage. What awaits her on the other side, however, is the eternal night of Tenesoir. There's no way a scrawny alchemist with no supplies can handle such a dangerous world alone.

Fortunately for her, Kyrinna comes across a hunter named Zeltencia von Trepe in the forest, and she secures Zel's help with a few lies. Once you start lying, though, it's hard to stop. Can Kyrinna maintain an alibi as a friendly pharmacist? Are her good deeds less good if she's only doing them to save her own skin? And what's she going to do about Zel when the lies inevitably start to unravel?
