Absolute Zero
A superhero story, only Nicole is less "heroic" and more "insatiably angry and directed toward the cause of her problems almost by coincidence"... Read Absolute Zero (NEW) Read Absolute Zero: Dark Thirty (NEW) Return to Site IndexABOUT ABSOLUTE ZERO
Nicole Ellery is a young woman who is tormented at school by bullies. The only way out, she finds, is to become a bully herself. It's this hands-on approach that begins to serve her in a new context one day, as she awakens from a coma-like state, suddenly possessing the power to control ice.
Nicole's not alone in acquiring powers. The experience brings with it a whole new group of friends, with their own powers. But it also brings new enemies—rather than the cheerleaders hurling insults, Nicole now has armed soldiers hunting her and her new clique. Can Nicole and the others stop the soldiers and make River City safe for their kind?
Absolute Zero is a Twine story about someone who believes that violence is never the answer, but it is always an answer. Turn the pages and follow Nicole as she meets the other runaways and helps them to unravel the secret behind their newfound powers, and the standing army that was out for them almost immediately.
ABOUT ABSOLUTE ZERO: DARK THIRTY
The fun doesn't stop there, however. Turns out the journey to save River City from these roving soldiers and the ones who pull their strings is a journey too big for one book. Her goal is to continue the fight where she left off, with one loose end in particular drawing her ire. But what will this quest for justice cost her?
Absolute Zero: Dark Thirty is a direct sequel to the first book, also written in Twine. Follow the links to turn the pages and join Nicole on her daring nighttime raid on a pre-apocalyptic military base and its new boss.
